Card: Christmas snowflakes

I know what you’re thinking. A Christmas card? In January?

Well, I’ve signed up for a weekly challenge that will see me create a card a week this year. No, I won’t make 52 cards but once I’ve made about 20, I’ll make tags, gift wrap and other Christmassy thing.

Here’s my first entry:

I heat embossed the snowflakes with gold embossing powder and water coloured the bits in-between. I used  300gsm watercolour paper and adhered it to a handmade A6 card blank using 3D foam tape for some dimension.

The colours were supposed to be Denim, Melon and Pear from the Stampin Up range but I don’t use SU inkpads; these were my approximation.

This card has been submitted for the following challenges:

Facebook: A Card a Day on Facebook Day 3 Card 3

Facebook: Talkies Christmas Card Club: Week 1 Card 1

Splitcoaststampers: Color Challenge:  CC616 (denim, melon, pear )

Thanks for stopping by!
